In this episode, co-hosts Sami (type 1) and Dobie (type 2) have the honor and pleasure of interviewing singer, actress and type 1 Breana Raquel who has a role in the new Netflix movie ‘Purple Hearts’ that features a character with type 1 diabetes.
Ironically that was not the character Breana played in the film, and she shares funny stories of how the crew consulted her to make sure the diabetic scenes were accurate.
She also shares her own diagnosis story and how her family moved across the country which has led to her successful career as an entertainer.
She is a very charming and engaging young lady and it’s easy to see why her life and career are taking off!
